MTN has upgraded their network and many free Opera Mini 4.2 and Opera mini 5.0 browsing tricks that were working in April has been blocked. Hence, many Free Browsing addicts have been finding it hard to connect to the internet. To show you how much I care, I have decided to post the latest tricks here.
Well, for these codes to work for you, YOU MUST USE IT WITH THE NORMAL MTN INTERNET SETTINGS BELOW:
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
IP: 010.199.212.002
Port: 8080
If your phone doesn't support manual editing of internet settings, you can create a prov settings with the info above and then send it to your phone through bluetooth. MAKE SURE YOU ACTIVATE IT AS DEFAULT in all applications.
If you do not know how to reconfigure your phone with the settings above and do not know how to create prov files, THE EASIEST THING TO DO IS TO RE- REQUEST FOR NEW MTN SETTINGS. You can do this simply by writing SETTINGS in a text message and send to 3888. When MTn replies you with the settings, SAVE IT as the DEFAULT.
If you are using chinese phones (Chinko phones), you will have to edit the settings manually.
So, What Next ?
Once you have set your internet settings to the normal MTN settings, feel free to use any of the tricks below with your Opera mini, using any of the customs.
