Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE: Android Touchscreen + QWERTY Phone With Front and Back Camera




Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE is a LTE supported global roaming smartphone with Android rooting. It comes in side-sliding with QWERTY keyboard. An Android 4.0.4 splash proof phone with a big display and lots of RAM, this device is sure to capture a user’s attention in the first instance. The phone comes with a killer keyboard, fast processor, 4G LTE network and a bright colorful screen. For someone who would do anything to get a full keyboard totting device, then this phone will do the job.



The Exterior

Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE has capacitive, multi-touch 4.3 touch screen and 5 inches tall, 2.6 inches wide and 0.54 thick. It weighs 6.00 oz. The phone has a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels and the density is about 256 ppi. It comes with a scratch resistant glass, proximity and light sensor. The back-side of the phone is made of hard-plastic. The keyboard is a full QWERTY and there is an amazing click sound when the buttons are pressed. The device’s slider aspect is excellent and can be flicked up and down really fast. The phone seems to have a fluid slide. The phone features virtual keyboard from Swype which definitely helps in one-handed text entry.

The device has a 720p front facing camera. The left edge of the phone holds two ports for Micro-USB and HDMI. The right side of the phone holds camera button, volume keys and a microSD card flap covering slot. The back of the phone is 8-megapixel camera with LED flash.  The phone has the capacity to record video in 1080p. The back also has a black patterned surface that does not collect fingerprints. Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE screen produces lifelike, vibrant colors that look appealing.

The Interior

The device runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It has a dual core 1500 MHz processor along with graphics processor. The phone has a system memory of 1024 MB RAM and 8192 MB ROM. The slot type is microSD and microSDHC. Photon 4G LTE has a maximum card size of 32GB. The phone has a 4.0, EDR Bluetooth, and 802.11 b,g,n Wi-Fi connectivity. The device comes with USB 2.0.  The battery type is lithium Ion and the capacity is that of 1785 mAh. It gives the user 7.5 hours talk time and the standby time is 220 Hours. The location features of this device are Compass, GPS, Cellular and Wi-Fi.

The Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE has an unlocked boot loader. So, Android users will be able to root customized software on their phones. Like the other Motorola devices, this phone too has Smart Actions app installed. Thanks to the 1.5GHz Snapdragon dual core processor and 1GB of RAM, the device has plenty of speed.  The network technology includes both GSM and CDMA. The phone has NFC chip, this means the user use any software which uses this technology.

For users who are more obsessed in texting than making calls, this phone is the best thing that can happen to them.   3. This is a beautiful phone I didn't even know it exists! I certainly love the physical QWERTY keypad as that's what am most comfortable typing on.
