If you are a regular visitor to this blog, you will definitely be wondering why the desktop version of the blog was inaccessible for over one month. Well, it's something I wasn't prepared for, hence the reason why I couldn't get the blog back online within few days. So glad and thankful to God to see it restored on Tuesday because not all Blogger users are lucky to have their blogs re-instated after been removed.
You can read the full gist of what happened here and how it was restored. You should also read the challenges you might face if you wait for blogger to delete your blog before moving to WordPress.
During the downtime, OgbongeBlog emerged the winner of 2013 OYAA Awards's Best Online Media On Technology in Nigeria. You can read more about it and check out the photos here.
On the other side, the organizers of Nigerian Blog Awards couldn't list the blog as a nominee for the 2013 Awards because the blog was offline when they were carrying out a final check on the nominated blogs. Painful but life goes on...
As you can see, the blog is now having a new look. The night I finished working on the new look was when the blog disappeared.
The desktop version is now responsive i.e the blog design “responds” to the size of the browser display in which it is being viewed. I changed the homepage design to magazine style and also re-arranged the sidebar. I hope to share the tutorials with you in the long run.
Did you miss the blog?

Did you miss the blog?
we are happy to have you back, there were rumors on BL that you have abandoned the blog to focus on other business
ReplyDeletelol... even if I am to abandon it, it will still be accessible, at least for me to keep making money from Google Adsense.
DeleteThis might just be a blessing in disguise. Just keep thanking God though. I really missed the blog and am so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteYes, na God ooo. Thanks Temmy.
Deletelol @ "making money from google adsense" welcome on track bro
ReplyDeleteThanks Ruby.
DeleteCongrats on your new OYAA award and sorry you missed out on Nigeria Blog Awards (....so sad my vote was wasted), I wish you more future success.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are back online.
Looking forward to the tutorial, and make sure you do post it here asap.

Thanks bro. I will publish the tutorials as promised as soon as I can.
DeleteMy blog http://realnetinfos.blogspot.com has been disabled, i really want to know you how you did this please.help me.
ReplyDeleteClick on the "...how it was restored" link in the post above.
DeleteThis is a clear case that self hosted wordpress should be considered greatly. Bloggers in Nigeria consider their blogging real estate more carefully. If google can shut down people's account arbitrarily, blogspot may not be the way for the future. What do you think?
ReplyDeletewelcome back bro
ReplyDeleteI always like it when people (especially young people) are doing something positive and taking it seriously - so it's usually cause me heartbreak when something goes wrong. Like I commented on the other blog; I checked this blog while making the List of Top 100 Blogs in Nigeria on WealthResult.com but was so disappointed to see it offline. I made further search and saw the thread you opened on “Blogger help forum” which no one else was allow to contribute except the starter and the top contributor helping.
ReplyDeleteSo, I have no option than to pray that you get the sympathy of Blogger and now it has happened! Congratulation for having your property back and we rejoice with you. I think I can now go ahead and include your blog on the List?
I also wants to add: Blogger still remain one of the best option for Bloggers (Amateur or Pro) due to the consistent effort Google has been putting in to better the SEO and security as well as the ease of use. A case like this is just "one off" and doesn't occur regularly...
Pls, delete my other two previous comments.
This is actually my first time of visiting your blog but i like what i saw, welcome back bro.
ReplyDeleteI am learner in this blogging stuff....I just opened mine yesterday bro....pls can you teach me how to make things work out for me too?
