I am delighted to inform you that OgbongeBlog.com now has over 10, 000 verified subscribers according to the stats obtained from my Feedburner account this afternoon.
As at the time of publishing this post. out of the 10, 027 subscribers, 9152 are email subscribers (those that subscribed with their emails) which accounts for the high percentage as presented in the chart above. These email subscribers receive and read the latest posts in their email without having to visit ogbongeblog.com.
Though 25,936 subscribed with their email addresses according to the stats. Unfortunately, only the 9152 subscribers have verified their subscription which means 16,784 are yet to click on the verification link in the email message they received after entering their email addresses in the Feedburner email subscription box on Ogbongeblog. Imagine that!
Although, I can download the csv file containing all the 25,936 email addresses for email marketing, I am still losing a whole lot of money and traffic from the subscribers who have failed to verify their subscription. How I wish one can send a reminder to such people so they can verify, but as at the time of publishing this, Feedburner.com doesn't offer such service nor allow you to send custom newsletters to the verified subscribers. Sucks....right?
Right now, I am hunting for a better way of managing the list and also researching how to monetize this huge list without Adsense for feeds.
If you are in my shoes, what will you do? Do you know how I can send mail all the 25,936 email addresses at once? Please, let me hear from you.

Deletethumbs up big bro!keep the flag flying.maybe you can consider sending them a direct e-mail message(gmail or yahoomail)but do it nicely.let them know is from your blog and state clearly your primary intention,so as not be mistaking for spamming.just my opinion.

DeleteI have also been looking for ways to get my unverified subscribers verified. However, the only little fix I did was to add a small note at the bottom of the form stating "Note: To receive latest jobs in Nigeria, check your mail or spam folder for confirmation link when you subscribe." Feedburner let them know again when they eventually fill the form. Visit http://www.nigerianjobportal.com to see what I mean.

Wow! Jide, you have achieved a lot here but the only downside is that you have no direct way of sending them a mail. That is really why I prefer building a list the traditional way... newsletters, authoresponders. with this you will have better conversion rate. You have done really well
