Mailchimp Automation Now Free For All Users On Any Of Mailchimp Plans

One major reason why I've always prefer Madmimi and Mailerlite to Mailchimp when recommending email marketing provider for my clients is the fact that Mailchimp automation feature wasn't free for users on the Mailchimp free plan. Back then, the feature was restricted only to those on the paid plans - and without "automation", email marketing doesn't really make sense to me.

Whether you operate an online store, head a nonprofit, or run a creative side project, automation makes it easy to send the right message to the right people at exactly the right time, giving you a competitive edge without burning a hole in your budget.

Going forward, users on any of MailChimp’s plans — Forever Free, Monthly, Pro, or Pay As You Go— can now use the Mailchimp automation feature for free. Mailchimp announced this free service earlier this month and have been running online campaigns to inform their users about it.

With this new free service, mailchimp users can now send personalised automated messages at no extra cost. This can can be automated emails to greet your new subscribers with a welcome message, educate readers about a specific topic, follow up after a purchase, increase brand awareness, and more. MailChimp offers a collection of preset automations that gives you the power to choose the right workflow for your business, customize its settings, and start sending in just a few clicks.

MailChimp has provided a guide to getting started with marketing automation for beginner marketers to learn more about connecting with their new contacts, generating more revenue, boosting customer loyalty and re-engaging inactive subscribers.

If you’re new to marketing automation, our intent-based campaign creation process will help you get started by guiding you to the right automation for your goals. We’ll show you the different campaigns that fit your objectives, so you can be more effective with your marketing and still have time to spend on other things that add value to your business,” the company said.

  1. This is good news. Although Mailchimp may have appeared chicky with their lack of automation for Free Users, they were still generous with the number of free mail allowed per month for life. So this comes as an icing on the cake, if get what I mean.
